brightness |
|
ANSI lumens measure the brightness of the projector. A benchmark
is between 1000 and 1500 lumens. Some installation models have the
capacity to produce in the excess of 2000 lumens. If you are looking
for a portable machine, we would recommend that the machine projects
800 lumens and more. Machines with greater lumen projection adapt
better to a range of different environments.

|
projector resolution
|
|
This relates to the number of pixels, which
make up the image from the personal computer. Most standard personal
computers run on either SVGA (800 x 600) or XGA (1024 x 768). The
majority of laptops operate at XGA.
To gain optimum visual quality, it is essential that the projector
corresponds with your computer.
If you have any doubts as to which resolution you require, please
contact our Sales Department, who will help you with your query.

Will the projector need to be portable? The
majority of portable machines weigh approximately 2kg and are not
much bigger than the average lap top computer.

Most projectors use a metal halide or UHP
source, which offer a very white light and a useful life of 750
- 2,000 hours (depending on your projector model). They typically
do not burn out suddenly, but gradually grow dimmer, giving you
plenty of warning that it's time for a replacement.

This can depend on the variables explained
above.
The main factor affecting the price of the projector is resolution.
